Morning Stride

An hour before sunrise. Rain puddles pool on the road. It’s morning. Early. Returning to a morning run plan. So much is accomplished and the day is set. Every runner has their window. The day part that best suits their plan. Morning establishes the day’s plan. It provides a kick start and sets a tone. Regardless of the remaining hours of the day, the completion of a run derives an accomplishment. This run is logged. Onto the day and new challenges ahead.

Day 2001 – Spontaneity?

Is it time for spontaneity? Should I alter the route? A route that has paved the way for many previous runs. Miles that synch in a hypnotic rhythm. Yesterday achieved a milestone. Today marked a transition. The start of a new numeric climb. An unknown number of miles lie ahead. Despite the contemplation, I maintain a familiar route with a few additional miles. 2001 logged and a new venue to share.
